Blend 3015

Role: Animation

Blend 3015 was an exercise from a course on advanced motion methods at School of Motion. The course taught us how to create well-structured animations, considering factors like eye tracking and transitions.

The task for this exercise was to create an animation for the 500th bi-annual Blend Conference, which was being held at the Utopia Basin Amphitheater on Mars. The theme of the conference was to celebrate the achievements of humanity and motion graphics artists like ourselves since the first Blend conference in 2015. As a throw-back to the past, we were asked to animate boards created by Lucas Brooking and Gareth O'Brien, which had a similar style to the original animation from the first Blend conference.

In addition to animating, I also found a song to accompany the animation. Below some behind-the-scenes insights and the thought process behind the project.
